I thought the best place to pick up again would be exactly where I left off in December 2007.

After I settled into my new house, I paid a visit to my parents. While I was there, I managed to have a conversation with a local handyman who was hired to stain their deck. I started the conversation by mentioning the fact that I was considering getting into the handyman business. After I let him know that I wasn’t local (and thus, not competing), he was more than willing to share some inside information. We’re back to 100% :)

Just a quick post to let everyone know that the comments function is now working again. The spammers are getting more creative and determined every day. Hopefully this latest bit of software will put an end to this headache.

A New Format

Hello, Phil here. I hope everyone’s doing well. Actually, I’m not even sure if I have any readers left, but hopefully that’s going to change over the next little while.

I just want to start off with an apology to those who have left comments over the last eight months and didn’t see them appear on the site. I’ve been going through a terrible time trying to keep ahead of the spambots. At one point, there were over 35,000 spam messages in my comments section. I have a policy of manually approving all comments on the site before they go live – and it’s a good thing I do, otherwise you’d see nothing but ads for Viagra, porn, credit repair, and so forth.
