Been reading your posts there, and also this website. It's great you've managed to drop out of the rat-race. I congratulate you for this. You might consider a great movie I saw yesterday! It's about an architect who literally builds houses out of garbage. It is totally off-grid, making the solar and wind energy and rain work for the housing's heating, electricity and sewage system, all internalized. It even allows to grow one's own food thanks to integrated green house system! Fucking rad! And it does allow lots of freedom. As the architect Michael Reynolds said: "The family of four could easily survive here without even going to the store". Maybe not totally free from money, but pretty damn close, sans being too miserable.
